Introduction to Sustainability Workshop
Looking for a general introduction to sustainable practice for your organisation or production team?
A 2-hour workshop introducing the values of sustainable practice, principles of climate justice and practical tools you can apply to your next project, using the Theatre Green Book.
Consultancy
Have a specific area you would like to develop? 1-1 sessions tailored to the individual or organisation. Perhaps you need support writing an environmental policy and action plan, or data-gathering for annual reports? Practical guidance and industry context for embedding sustainable practice within your team and projects.
Carbon Literacy Training and Certification
Carbon Literacy is "the ability to understand, communicate about, and act on climate change in our daily lives." This 8-hour training (split into 2 half days) introduces the climate science behind sustainable practice and explores how we can all take positive action in our workplace and daily lives. An accredited course by The Carbon Literacy Project, you have the opportunity to become certified as a result.
Climate theatre-making
Making climate-focussed performance? This workshop explores climate dramaturgy, focusing on how we can create spaces and tell stories which inspire positive visions for the future, and how to create theatre in the context of the climate crisis. It includes an introduction to the Theatre Green Book.
Our sustainability offer is delivered by Caitlin Evans, Director of ShyBairn Theatre, arts producer and sustainability consultant. She has worked for organisations including Modus Arts, Dante or Die, Stone Nest, New Diorama, Peut-Être Theatre and independent artists including Sarah Kim Fielding, Stephanie Fuller and Louise Monaghan.
Caitlin has delivered sustainability training for students, touring theatre companies and NPOs and developed a unique approach which focuses on intersectional practice. She is certified Carbon Literate and experienced in Theatre Green Book and Julie's Bicycle resources.
