CALLOUT: 2 x PERFORMERS
We are looking for two performers for an R&D of our new show ‘Burnout’, a play about class, race and the climate movement supported by Arts Council England and Live Theatre.
Pay: £1000, paid at £100 per day for 10 days
Key Dates: 3rd - 14th May 2021 (R&D and work-in-progress sharing)
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (Travel / Accommodation will be covered, if necessary)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Experienced in devised theatre-making
Experienced in collaborative processes
A willing and open attitude to generate ideas and material in rehearsals
Knowledge of, and interest in, climate justice
Identify as working class, benefit class, under class or criminal class and/or experience racism in society as a person of colour.
From or based in the North East
Experienced performing spoken word and/or poetry
Confident mover (not professionally trained as a dancer, just happy to get a bit sweaty!)

Auditions: Thursday 4th March and Friday 5th March 2021, times TBC
Recall Auditions: Thursday 11th March and Friday 12th March 2021, times TBC
Auditions will take place online via Zoom. Initial Auditions will be individual, recall will be in a small group. They will each take no longer than 1 hour.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 26th March 2021
